Swiss watch brand Squale was founded in 1946 by Charles von Büren and is now owned by Massimo Maggi and has its headquarters in Milan. Von Büren's passions lay in both watchmaking and diving and he originally began the company to provide high-quality cases for other makes of professional dive watches. Watches that had the Squale mark were renowned for their craftsmanship and expertise. It was in the 60s that Squale began manufacturing their own dive watches and today, the brand is synonymous with watches that deliver precision, durability and underwater capability. Squale watches have been worn by many professional divers as well as elite corps in the armed forces and parachutists in the Folgore Brigade.
All components of Squale watches are entirely Swiss made and the brand's timepieces are designed to endure the underwater pressures of deep-sea diving. Squale's collections include 1521, Matic, 1545 and 2002. Their water-resistant capabilities range from 200 metres to more than 1000 metres and detailing includes everything from revolutionary bakelite bezels to steel markers and double-domed sapphire crystal to helium release valves.
With its rich heritage and legendary status as a watchmaker for the professional diving world, Squale watches are always expertly crafted with deep blue adventure in mind.
