The Delma Shell Star Decompression Timer represents a sophisticated fusion of diving heritage and contemporary horological engineering. Drawing inspiration from DELMA's storied Shell Star collection, this automatic watch showcases distinctive design language: a spade-style seconds hand, railway-pattern hour markers, and striking orange-white contrast elements. Its defining feature—the decompression timer—stems from pioneering Swiss diving research spanning the 1950s and 1960s, delivering critical safety data through depth indicators positioned at 12 o'clock and precisely marked white ring decompression stop zones across the dial. The unidirectional rotating bezel facilitates accurate dive timing, whilst a helium escape valve and premium stainless steel case ensure 500-metre water resistance, with operational capability optimised to 700 metres above sea level. The timepiece balances professional-calibre instrumentation with refined watchmaking craftsmanship, finished with a solid steel bracelet and exhibition caseback that showcases the mechanical movement.
